this christmas...

It has been a bittersweet week in the Lindsey home. We had quite the month with Christmas parties and dinners, a getaway trip to NYC and a wonderful visit home with our families. I look forward to this time every year. I guess I would be what people call a Christmas nut. No, really. And, somehow I married myself a bigger Christmas nut. As in we actually got into a serious discussion about the size of our tree. He thought it should touch the ceiling. I thought otherwise. I should mention that we have a vaulted ceiling in our living room. Please do the math. Well, this Christmas was a cherry on top of our ever so wonderful 2011 year, and as always, it is bittersweet to see Christmas and December almost gone. I cannot quite put my finger on what made it a lovely Christmas this year.

Maybe it was because...

these three little ones were born and blessed into Bryan's family this year.

I am so blessed to have married into this family. Especially a family who gives books like this as presents!!!



the infamous "rice krispy cake" of FIVE years made its debut last weekend at our family Christmas! How Bryan ended up with this gift is beyond me!



I am so lucky to be married to my amazing, kind, loving and quite silly husband! Forever Lazy and all, I love him!



Call it wisdom or getting older, but as each year passes by, I do not look forward as much to the presents as I do spending time with my ever so crazy, fun and wonderful families!
