Their story started in Florida. It was for a wedding ironically. Who would have known that she would find a boy from her hometown who would in turn become her husband, her best friend and the one she would create a lifetime of memories from that one weekend. But, that is how it works. Life that is. It surprises you and leads you down unknown paths only to leave you speechless. Speechless because at one point, it leads you to the one person who is your other half. Your better half. And, that is how Matt and Cate's story starts.

It continued as they flew to Missouri and Florida to see one another for quite some time. It grew when Matt took a job close to home, and they were a car drive apart. And, it opened a new chapter in their lives when Matt asked her to be his wife. His arms are her home, and it shows. Her smiles and laughter compose his happiness. And, when I told them they were going to have gorgeous kids one day, he whispered that he hopes they take after their mama. That is how they are. They radiate love in every word they speak, every smile they give and every time they are in one another's presence.

Matt and Cate, I cannot believe I get the honor to photograph your wedding (shout out to Cate's sister and one of my besties, Martha...The Leahys have become family to me now!). After photographing you two for our engagement session, I can honestly say your wedding day is going to be EASY to photograph. You two are ridiculously beautiful! And, So. Much. Fun. engagement: sean+lisa

It goes back 7 years ago. The same night I met Bryan. That was the night I met Bryan's VERY tall and VERY fun friend, Sean. Life has a funny way of blessing you with good friends. Because, I never knew 7 years later, Sean would be one of our best friends, he would stand next to Bryan the day we vowed to be together forever, I would get the honor of taking their engagement photos and Bryan would stand next to him on their wedding day as he vowed to be Lisa's forever. I remember the first time Bryan met Lisa and all he kept telling me was how Sean had found his perfect match. I was not sure if I believed Bryan until I met her. Instantly, I too realized Sean had found his perfect match. She is incredibly witty and hilarious. She has a strong and caring heart (she is a nurse after all). And, best of all, she is a Chi Omega. (This scores major brownie points with me anytime!)

I know many people do not believe in soul mates or finding their perfect match. However, after watching these two for the past 2 years, I truly believe they both found their perfect match. And, I cannot wait to watch them in front of their friends and families to vow to be each other's forever, soul mates, partner-in-crime and best friends. For life. As husband and wife.

Sean and Lisa, I heart you guys as much as I heart gluten-free cupcakes. Ok, more than cupcakes. This is saying a LOT just so you both know.
