You probably think I woke up at 11:00 in the morning, watched movies all day and then hosted a party. Not so much. Instead, I stayed up until 2 in the morning Friday night trying to convince Bryan it was totally acceptable to watch the Smallville episode we DVRed. And, then woke up at 7:30 in the morning only to roll over, whisper and ask Bryan if I could turn on a lamp to read the seventh Harry Potter book (since the SUN HAD NOT ROSE YET!). Go ahead, make fun! Oh but it gets better. I went back to sleep after reading for an hour and woke up mid-morning. Because I could. And, spent the entire rest of the day cooking, baking (my sister-in-law, Beth, baked up quite possibly the most delicious gooey butter cake I have ever eaten!) and enjoying time with my brother, sister-in-law and Bryan.
We topped our Saturday off with our friends in Kansas City enjoying the fall weather, good food, delicious beverages and deserts that make me want to attend desertaholic meetings b/c they were THAT good.
I love Kansas City and the people who live in it! Just sayin'.
Mum, all grown-up and hosting our very own housewarming party! We even cooked. I know you are proud!
I am pretty sure we forgot what a normal Saturday felt like, but to us, it was our perfect kind of Saturday!
